“We’re all very disappointed with the start of the season,” said Bohn in a statement. “We’re working closely with Coach Riley to address the issues and get this team back on track.”

Riley, who left Oklahoma for USC in 2021, has a 17-9 record as the Trojans’ head coach. He is widely regarded as one of the top offensive minds in college football. However, some have questioned his ability to win big games and consistently compete for championships.

“Lincoln is a great coach,” said ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit. “But there’s a lot of pressure at USC. If he doesn’t turn things around quickly, he could be out of a job.”
