Coach Lee Provides Injury Update On Hornets Star Brandon Miller

“Brandon has been dealing with a lower leg injury that has kept him out of the last two games,” said Clifford. “After further evaluation, we have determined that he will miss the next 10-14 days.”

Miller, who is averaging 21.2 points and 9.5 rebounds per game this season, has been sidelined since suffering the injury in the Hornets’ loss to the Brooklyn Nets on January 6th. The Hornets have gone 1-1 in his absence.

“It’s a tough blow for us,” said Clifford. “Brandon is a key part of our team and we’ll miss his presence on the court. But we have confidence in our other players to step up and fill his role.”

Miller’s injury is a setback for the Hornets, who are currently in 10th place in the Eastern Conference and fighting for a playoff spot. Without their leading scorer, the Hornets will need to rely more on their other young players, such as LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges.

“We’re going to have to adjust our game plan a bit without Brandon,” said Clifford. “We’re going to need to play better defense and get more production from our bench.”

The Hornets will face the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night without Miller. It is unclear when Miller will be able to return to the lineup, but the Hornets are hopeful that he will be back before the All-Star break.
