Hallmark Channel, the NFL, and the Kansas City Chiefs have teamed up to produce a Christmas movie starring Tyler Hynes.

Movie Details

The movie, titled “The Christmas Playbook,” will follow a young woman who inherits her late father’s NFL team and must learn to navigate the world of professional football.

Hynes will play the role of a former NFL player who is hired to coach the woman’s team.

NFL Involvement

The NFL is providing support for the movie, including access to NFL footage and consultation from NFL experts.

“We are thrilled to partner with Hallmark Channel on this unique project,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “The Christmas Playbook will bring the excitement of NFL football to a new audience and showcase the positive impact that our game can have on people’s lives.”

Chiefs Connection

The Kansas City Chiefs are also involved in the movie, providing access to their facilities and players.

Tyler Hynes

Tyler Hynes has starred in numerous Hallmark Channel movies, including “The Nine Lives of Christmas” and “The Christmas Doctor.”

Release Date

The Christmas Playbook is scheduled to premiere on Hallmark Channel in December 2023.
