Just So I Can Be Closer To Hailee: Shameik Moore’s

Shameik Moore’s

In a recent interview with Variety, Shameik Moore opened up about the rather shocking reason why he first auditioned for the role of Miles Morales in Sony’s “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.” Moore, who provides the voice of the young, Brooklyn-born superhero decided to try out for the part because he was attracted to the character’s strong connection to his family and his neighborhood, but also because of his interest in Hailee Steinfeld, who voices Gwen Stacy.

Close Encounter

Moore admitted that “Just so I can be closer to Hailee” was one of his main motivations for auditioning. “I was like, ‘Yo, I’m going to be in the same room as Spider-Gwen,'” he said. “…I’m going to be in the same room as Hailee Steinfeld!'”

Moore’s plan worked, as he and Steinfeld not only starred in the film together, but they also developed a close friendship. “We became really good friends,” Moore said. “We would hang out after work and just talk about life.”

Friendship & Respect

Moore also said that he has a lot of respect for Steinfeld as an actress. “She’s so talented and she’s so dedicated to her work,” he said. “I learned a lot from her.”

Moore and Steinfeld are set to reprise their roles as Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy in the upcoming sequel to “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” which is set to be released in 2023.

Conclusion

Shameik Moore’s story is a reminder that sometimes the most unexpected things can lead to great things. Moore is not only a talented actor, but he is also a genuine and kind person. He is an inspiration to us all.
