Lamar Jackson Said His Mom "cussed Him Out" After Loss To Eagles

The Ravens’ quarterback was visibly upset after the team’s disappointing defeat.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson had a tough outing against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, throwing two interceptions and fumbling twice in a 35-13 loss. Jackson was visibly frustrated throughout the game, and his mother, Felicia Jones, said she had some choice words for him afterward.

“She cussed me out,” Jackson said with a laugh after the game. “She was like, ‘What the hell are you doing?'”

Jackson said he understood his mother’s frustration. He knows he didn’t play well, and he’s determined to improve.

“I’ve got to be better,” Jackson said. “I’ve got to take care of the football. I’ve got to make better decisions.”

The Ravens offense struggled mightily against the Eagles’ defense. Jackson was sacked four times and hit 10 times. The Ravens also had just 218 yards of total offense, their lowest output of the season.

“We didn’t do anything well offensively,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. “We couldn’t run the ball, we couldn’t pass the ball, and we couldn’t protect our quarterback.”

Jackson is a young quarterback with a lot of potential. He’s already one of the most dangerous players in the NFL, and he’s only going to get better.

Jackson said he’s using this loss as motivation. He’s determined to prove that he can be a winner in the NFL.

“I’m going to work my butt off to get better,” Jackson said. “I’m going to come back stronger than ever.”
